Mindmanager Instructions

Mindmanager is a very basic mind mapping software which I had designed purely for selfish reasons.
I like the idea of arranging my projects in this way (Mr Buzan's a very clever chap!) but the only programs I could find were the very expensive professional set-ups.

I'll admit I've taken the liberty of using it as a promotional tool and had my web address slapped on the opening screen in the hope that you'll pass it round your teaching buddies (!) but if you don't mind that, then hopefully you'll find it useful.

This is how you use it...

Click on the mindmanager folder to open it.

Click the file called 'setup.exe'

You'll then be presented with a pop up which says something along the lines of 'unkown publisher' - which is fine, (I'm the unknown publisher and it's quite safe).

That should install it on your PC and the first thing you'll see is my rather excessive 'Brought to you by

www.classroom-management.org

banner. Sorry :-)

To start a mind map just click either the white piece of paper top left or 'file' - 'new'.

Enter the project title in the cloud (which has an annoying black frame round it) and then you're off.

Nodes can be added either by double left-clicking the work space or right click 'add node'.
Sub nodes can be added by either double left-clicking the main node or right click 'add sub-node'.

To Move a node place the curser over it and right click 'move'.

It's fairly user-friendly and in the tools menu you can even change colours, line thickness etc.

You can download the program

Happy mapping....
