Survey Results

I ran a survey asking customers and subscribers to our freetips/mini course what they thought of various aspects of ourproducts and services three days ago. If you were one of the many people who completed it I want to say a huge ‘thank you’.
The results were truly enlightening and I want you to know that I will be posting the full results on the blog very soon. Well, Chris will, I can’t because I don’t know how. :-)
Actually, to say the responses were ‘enlightening’ doesn’t really give the right impression. There have been nearly 350 replies so far and nearly all of them were incredibly positive! I mean INCREDIBLY positive.
I had a lump in my throat when I first opened the file because I know there were (and still are) some severe glitches due to my family pressures – particularly to Needs Focused Lessons and the response time on the helpdesk- but you were all unbelievably kind and I really do appreciate the comments. We are still working through the backlog but things are now getting back in order and we should be up to date again very soon. I know my typos also used to be a majoy issue but I seeem to have improtved lateley because nokbody mentionnned tham.
There were two reasons for the survey – firstly because I wanted to know if there are any big weaknesses in what we do – in terms of content, service, response time, quality etc. and secondly because I wanted to know what you specifically want from us in the way of future products.
Some of the main suggestions in the ‘tips for improvement’ included (please excuse me using the generic term ‘you’ meaning ‘those who responded’):
1. You want emails to be snappier (OK, I’ll try)
2. You want emails and tips arranged in ‘easy to find’ summary folders (no problem)
3. You want group interaction (chat rooms – possibly – forums definitely coming)
4. You want even more freebies (ho hum, ok :-)
5. You want me to have different prices for different countries (I understand this and will look into it).
6. You aren’t sure how to use the blog. (It’s erm… ‘fairly’ straightforward. You just kind of ‘look at it’ :-) Seriously, I know what you mean, it can be daunting but have a play around and it will become more familiar. Please post comments – sharing views and ideas will build the community.
7.  You wanted more information relating to younger children (in process – it will come)
8.  You wanted hard copies of digital goods. (We have finally found a good fulfillment house for this and will be moving into this area soon).
9. Many of you haven’t tried the majority of our products but expressed a desire to do so if you could find them on the site!! The new site is now live and are now uploading the products. It will become more streamlined as we get used to it.
Here are the two you said you couldn’t find:
Distance course: (How to manage your classroom)
Needs Focused lessons:  (How to motivate your students)
In terms of future products the ideas were surprisingly unanimous. You have all given me THREE amazing new product ideas and I have started putting the wheels in motion to have these produced as soon as possible.
I’ll post some of the feedback in a future mail and have Chris upload the full survey results to the blog next week.
